The Salvation Army's mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARCs) provide residential recovery programs for individuals seeking to deal with substance abuse and other addictions. They seek to help participants regain self-worth, learn how to build an orderly and disciplined life and become contributing members of society. Each program participant is provided with a clean and healthy living environment, nutritious food, group and individual counseling, spiritual direction, work therapy assignments, and recreational activities.
Need
An event to encourage The Salvation Army residents. Help folks to decorate Christmas ornaments. Creating, painting, or designing a variety of Christmas ornaments that residents can take with them. Share some Christmas joy and laughter!
More Details
Friday, December 6, 2024 at 6:00 PM. This one-time, in-person event for individuals or small groups is designed for the sharing of some Christmas joy with folks who may need it. You will work with a group at a table to help residents make their Christmas decorations.
Next Steps
You will not need to bring anything except your Christmas spirit. Please indicate the number of people who will be participating with you. Once you sign up, you will get an email that provides you with the location and a confirmation of the time. Then you just show up and support the project. If you would like to help with ideas for ornaments to decorate, please let Kitty know and she can help you decide what to bring.
