The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARCs) provide residential recovery programs for individuals seeking to deal with substance abuse and other addictions. They seek to help participants regain self-worth, learn how to build an orderly and disciplined life and become contributing members of society. Each program participant is provided with a clean and healthy living environment, nutritious food, group and individual counseling, spiritual direction, work therapy assignments, and recreational activities.

By volunteering to facilitate these small gatherings, you can model a healthy prayer life, teach foundational faith practices, and uplift clients in their spiritual journeys.

This is a deeply relational, faith-centered opportunity for individuals who feel called to lead, teach, and pray alongside adults in transition.
When: Flexible evening options are available weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
What You'll Do: Guide a small group of shelter residents through prayer, share encouragement, and teach the basic elements of how to build and maintain a consistent, personal prayer life.
Age Requirement: This opportunity is strictly for volunteers 18 years and older, as this facility exclusively serves adult residents.
Requirements: Because this opportunity takes place inside a residential shelter facility, volunteers will coordinate directly with pastoral staff to ensure alignment with facility guidelines.
