Small Group Leadership Development - Sat PM

Have you ever wondered what it takes to effectively lead people? Maybe you're trying to figure out how to be a more effective boss at work or would like to lead a team at church but aren't sure what it takes. This group is designed to help you learn what it takes to lead. There will be a particular focus on the skills needed to lead a small group, but much of the content will be applicable to any type of leadership. Topics covered will include how to: 1. Lead a small group (overview). 2. Ask questions that are thought-provoking and go beyond the surface. 3. Create an environment that makes people feel welcome, wanted, and "at home." 4. Coordinate/organize a group of people. 5. Pastor the people God has entrusted to your care. 6. Identify and develop emerging leaders. Each week we'll have about 45 minutes to an hour of homework. The group will meet June 4 through July 9 (no meeting July 2) during the 10:30 am service. If you're interested in growing as a leader, we'd love to have you join us!
